Canary Island Palm

The Canary Island Palm is extremely commonly grown as an decorative tree throughout hot  parts worldwide, especially in locations having Mediterranean climates. It may be grown wherever temperature  never drop beneath -10/-12 °C for extended time periods, even though it will need some coverage when chilly times are lengthier than usual. It’s a slow growing , entirely propagated through palm tree seeds.

Walsh river king palm is an attractive King palm with a single trunk and pinnate leaves. It is a quick growing palm. Mature height is 60 feet. Walsh river king palm is a real beauty. It is a nice palm for any landscape. When young it makes a noce houseplant.

Mangrove Fan palm

A Mangrove Fan palm (Licuala Spinosa) is native to Southern Africa and Madagascar. It grows to a height of 10 feet tall. The Licuala Spinosa is the hardiest of Licuala Genus.The palm is also known as the Good luck palm and Spiny Licuala. The palm is easy recognizable for it circular shaped leaves with squared-off ends.

Palm Trees

There are about tree thousands of species of palm trees. They are called tropical plants, but some of them can be grown in north areas outside.

The United States Department of Agriculture developed hardiness zones for palm trees. It means that there are certain geographicaly-defines areas in which specific types of palm tree are capable of growing.

Cold hardy palms can tolerate cold winter environments without any visible damage. Palm trees can grow in hardiness zones lower than the United States Department of Agriculture recommends.
